What will you do in a typical day?
You will primarily help prepare new and used refuse trucks for sale by installing and modifying custom equipment. This is a hands-on role for an experienced mechanic who can apply strong mechanical skills while learning our specialized products.
- Coordinate and install custom equipment on new and used refuse trucks.
- Diagnose, repair, adjust, and modify specialized heavy-duty components.
- Repair or modify new and existing products according to established specifications and procedures.
- Perform DOT inspections.
- Manage multiple projects, changing priorities, and frequent interruptions.
- Work safely and effectively as part of a team.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
On-the-job training will be provided on our specialized equipment.
What would make you a good fit?
- Previous mechanic experience is required; heavy-equipment mechanic experience is a plus.
- Experience working with hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Ability to read electrical schematics.
- Strong welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
- Class B CDL or the ability to obtain one.
- Must have your own general tools to complete required tasks.
- Self-motivated and willing to take initiative.
- Willing to learn and expand your knowledge.
- Able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- Positive attitude and ability to work successfully in a team environment.
- Able to meet the physical requirements of a Service Technician.
