Role Summary
The experienced Sales Manager is responsible for leading a team of industry-aligned Account Managers focused on growing strategic employer relationships through the YM Careers Network. This role combines hands-on coaching, performance management, structured onboarding, and disciplined execution to help the team consistently achieve monthly and quarterly revenue objectives.
The Sales Manager plays a critical role in driving account growth, improving sales effectiveness, strengthening prospecting discipline, and developing high-performing sales professionals. Success in this role requires strong leadership, consultative sales expertise, operational discipline, and a passion for coaching individuals to maximize both customer value and revenue performance.
This position is based in a hybrid work environment with centers of excellence in Atlanta, GA and Groton, CT.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead, manage, and coach a team of National Account Managers to achieve individual and team revenue goals.
· Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and structured training focused on consultative selling, discovery, account expansion, and outbound prospecting.
· Review account strategies and deal plans while providing tactical guidance to improve win rates and remove sales obstacles.
· Drive daily execution of the sales process to ensure consistent prospecting, account management, and pipeline development.
· Monitor pipeline health, opportunity progression, and quota attainment while maintaining disciplined Salesforce hygiene.
· Deliver accurate weekly and monthly forecasts and coach team members to improve forecast accuracy and pipeline visibility.
· Identify opportunities to improve sales processes and implement best practices that increase productivity and effectiveness.
· Lead onboarding and development of new hires while creating ongoing development plans for tenured team members.
· Partner with Marketing, Customer Success, Product, and Operations to maximize customer retention, expansion, and new customer acquisition.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
· 6–8+ years of B2B sales experience, including 2–3+ years leading quota-carrying sales teams.
· Demonstrated success leading account management and business development teams responsible for revenue growth.
· Strong understanding of consultative selling, pipeline management, forecasting, and sales coaching.
· Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce and sales coaching tools such as Gong.
· Proven ability to manage performance through defined KPIs and sales metrics.
· Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop high-performing sales professionals.
· Experience collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, customer success, and operations teams.
Work Environment and Flexibility
Enjoy the best of both worlds with our hybrid work schedule. This role is based at our Atlanta, GA or Groton, CT office and will require up to 10% travel for customer meetings, conferences, and internal collaboration.
Compensation and Earnings Potential
On-Target Earnings (OTE): $145,000+
· Base Salary: Competitive
· Performance-Based Incentive: Based on team revenue and performance results
