Overview

Electric Boat (EB) is growing its Digital Enterprise (DE) implemented in support of the COLUMBIA and VIRGINIA Programs. EB’s Digital Enterprise is the set of digital tools, processes, and procedures which utilizes, but is not limited to, Siemens Teamcenter Product Lifecycle Management and NX CAD for the design, planning, material procurement, construction, certification, and maintenance of our submarines. EB continues to define, refine, and execute its strategy to enhance and transform its Digital Enterprise and maintain our position of being an industry leader in Digital for shipbuilding.

 

This position will report directly to the Planning Value Stream Manager of Digital Enterprise, D405.  The Program Supervisor, Planning Value Stream role is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing a team that drives tool, process, and procedural improvements to the digital tools supporting the planning organization. This supervisor will work closely with members of Detail Planning, Advanced Planning, Build Strategy Team(BST), Production Control, and Information Technology(IT) to support efficiency and continuous improvement efforts within each of these areas.  

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise team responsible for supporting Electric Boat's Planning Organizations by tracking and providing guidance on projects or tasks
  • Development of personnel through training and mentoring
  • Recommend process improvements to support efficiency efforts
  • Cost and schedule management as well as performance and resource management
  • Development of Metrics on overall performance and improvements within the value stream
  • Monitor usage, performance, and feedback to continuously improve current and future state digital roadmaps
  • Develop and deliver presentations to upper-level management, customers, and business partners
  • Manage external customer touchpoints and perception
  • Interface with the Information Technology (IT) organization, cognizant business areas, and external business partners and customers to drive initiatives forward

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in design and engineering, operations, program office, planning, and/or quality
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the Department of Defense

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science
  • 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience
  • Experience with Electric Boat digital tools such as Teamcenter, PCM, and EWP.
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to resolve complex problems
  • Experience with design and engineering, planning, material procurement, construction, certification, and/or maintenance processes.
  • Experience mentoring, coaching, and developing employees
