About the Role:
Coast Heart Institute in Gulfport, MS is looking for a detail-oriented and dedicated Accountant to join our team. Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
- Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts on a regular basis
- Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and schedules
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative departments to track and manage expenses
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare or medical practice setting
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks) and Excel
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Experience with medical billing or healthcare revenue cycle is a plus
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments
