Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Gate Access in Hagerstown, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by screening personnel, visitors, and/or materials in accordance with site procedures. You will maintain a professional presence, help identify and report security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $17.46 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and/or vehicles in accordance with established site procedures and report unusual findings to appropriate site contacts.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, delivery documentation, and authorization for entry into designated areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, loading zones, trailer yards, and perimeter locations, and document observations in required reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
