Monitor clinical documentation, treatment planning, productivity, and service quality to ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards. Support initial and continued authorization requests by ensuring clinical documentation provides sufficient evidence of medical necessity and appropriate level of care. Track and monitor authorizations, reauthorizations, denials, and authorization expiration dates to support continuity of care and timely submissions and identifies trends. Collaborate with clinical staff, leadership, Quality and Revenue Cycle to address identified issues and provided targeted coaching and training on medical necessity, clinical documentation and payer requirements. Support staff through case consultation, clinical training, and evidence-based practice implementation to improve client outcomes. Foster collaboration among therapists, case managers, medical providers, schools, community partners, and families to ensure coordinated, person-centered care. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, chart reviews, and program development to strengthen clinical services and operational effectiveness. Provide direct clinical services when necessary, including assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, and therapy, consistent with your licensure and scope of practice. This position requires some evening hours and on call rotation. QualificationsRequired Qualifications Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field. Active Ohio licensure as one of the following with supervisory designation, where applicable: LISW, LPCC, IMFT. Supervisory designation preferred. Minimum of three years of clinical leadership or supervisory experience. Valid Ohio driver's license with reliable transportation. Knowledge of the State of Ohio Medicaid Behavioral Health State Plan Services Provider Requirements and Reimbursement Manual. Knowledge of utilization management, prior authorization, medical necessity and payer documentation requirements. Experience supporting compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards. Expertise in diagnostic assessment, evidence-based treatment and trauma-informed care. Experience supervising clinicians in outpatient, community behavioral health, or integrated care settings. Knowledge of the DSM and ASAM criteria. Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, and family-centered treatment approaches. Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications, including Office Suite, Outlook and Teams. Adept at learning and navigating electronic health record and payer authorization systems.
