Position Overview:
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) plays a key leadership role in overseeing daily hotel operations, ensuring superior guest experiences, and supporting all departments to maintain high performance and service standards. The ideal candidate brings a hands-on leadership style, excellent interpersonal skills, and brand-aligned service knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the General Manager in the daily management of hotel operations across all departments (front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, maintenance, etc.).
Lead and mentor department managers and staff to drive performance, service excellence, and guest satisfaction.
Ensure brand standards and service protocols are consistently met or exceeded.
Monitor and analyze hotel performance metrics, including occupancy, revenue, guest satisfaction, and operating costs.
Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to drive occupancy and revenue through effective strategies and local partnerships.
Manage guest relations and resolve operational issues quickly and professionally.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Oversee hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management processes in collaboration with department heads.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and local regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience in an Assistant General Manager or senior operational leadership role within a full-service hotel.
Strong understanding of hotel operations, financial acumen, and guest service principles.
Proven ability to lead teams, develop talent, and foster a positive workplace culture.
Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
