Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and feeding
- Provide mobility support including transfers, ambulation and repositioning
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry and meal preparation as part of daily care routines
- Offer companionship, emotional support and encourage client engagement in activities
- Monitor and report any changes in client condition or behavior to the supervisor
- Provide medication reminders as directed in the care plan
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided
- Adhere to infection control, safety and privacy protocols at all times
- High school diploma or GEDpreferred*
- Current PCA certification (Virginia)
- CPR AED and First Aid certification
- TB Test required (must test negative)
- One (1) year of experience in personal care or home health (preferred)
- Ability to assist clients with mobility or transfer needs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate attitude
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and proof of insurance required
- Ability to work independently and follow written care plans
- Basic documentation and time management skills
- Flexible scheduling available (minimum 4-hour shifts)
- Day, evening, overnight and weekend
