The Opportunity:

Join a mission-driven team as a Platform Engineer. The Platform Engineer will be designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise Cross Domain Solution (CDS) platforms that enable secure data sharing between classified and unclassified environments. In this role, you will build and maintain intuitive software and infrastructure that directly supports Air Force personnel across multiple locations. If you enjoy solving complex technical challenges, improving user experience, and making an impact on national security, this is an excellent opportunity to shine.

Responsibilities:

• Design, engineer, and maintain enterprise CDS platforms to ensure secure, reliable cross‑domain data transfer
• Administer and configure user interface applications and external services to deliver seamless interaction with CDS systems
• Manage and maintain user accounts across supported environments
• Implement and sustain monitoring, logging, and alerting capabilities for platform health and performance
• Partner closely with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with DoD security policies and accreditation standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system and platform issues while supporting end users
• Automate deployment processes to improve efficiency and consistency
• Document system architectures, technical procedures, and operational workflows

Qualifications:

Required: 
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
• BA/BS degree in a related field (AA/AS and additional experience may be considered)

• Minimum 5 years' experience in RHEL Administration

• Minimum 5 years' experience with VMware

• Minimum 5 years' experience applying security patches to Linux systems
• Current DoD 8140 cybersecurity certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+)
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and customer service orientation
• Broad experience with system/server hardware, operating systems, software applications, and network connectivity
• Ability to work proactively, anticipate issues, and use resources efficiently
• Experience working collaboratively with client managers and system users

Desired:

• Administrator‑level certifications in technologies such as Microsoft, RHEL, Linux, or VMware

• VM certification

• SEIM implementation and/admin experience

• Experience with GitOps
