POSITION SUMMARY:

The PD Dialysis RN, under the established PD training curriculum, will train the PD patient and will participate in the general operation of the PD program.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum requirements include graduation from an accredited school of nursing (RN); currently registered with the Mississippi Board of Nursing; specialized on-the-job training; ability to use a variety of physical motions in day-to-day activity including standing, walking, turning, bending, stooping, lifting, and climbing; ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time without experiencing fatigue; demonstrated ability to accept responsibility; ability to work under pressure and accept constructive criticism and guidance; ability to evaluate patient performance of procedures; proficient in practical aspects of specialty and familiar with teaching methods; basic knowledge of peritoneal dialysis; tact and judgement in dealing with family members and patients, other departments and medical staff; willingness to make home visits after training or as indicated by patient needs.
 

WORK SCHEDULE:

Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
