Unlike a typical 9-to-5, we don't have regularly scheduled shifts. Instead, our team of dedicated responders provides coverage on an as-needed basis. Application Deadline: September 30, 2026.  Applications will close sooner if a qualified candidate is identified. Here's how it works: Weekday coverage is handled by the first available responders who can answer the call. Weekend coverage is provided by two on-call responders from Saturday at 6:00 a.m. to Monday at 6:00 a.m. During this time, you'll receive on-call hourly pay. In addition to on-call pay, you'll also earn commission based on a per-trip basis for every call you take. As a Paramedic, you'll be responsible for providing immediate, high-quality care to critically ill and injured patients. This includes responding to both emergency calls and inter-facility transfers, all while following the guidelines set by the Haxtun Ambulance EMS Protocols and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
