Techno-FunctionalConsultant – AI Solutions (BFSI)

LatentBridgeis looking for a Techno-Functional Consultant to support our BFSI clientengagements in Tokyo. This role sits at the intersection of technology andbusiness – roughly 60–70% hands-on technical depth combined with 30–40%functional and stakeholder-facing responsibility. You will work directly withclient stakeholders in the banking and financial services domain, translatebusiness needs into AI-driven technical solutions, and act as the connectivelink between the client and our internal delivery teams.

Thisis a client-facing, solution-oriented role. You will lead discussions withclient stakeholders, understand their requirements, collaborate with internalengineering/AI teams to shape a solution, and take that solution back to theclient – owning the conversation end to end.

•     Serve as the primarytechno-functional point of contact for BFSI client engagements in Tokyo.

•     Lead and manage client-facingdiscussions to understand business requirements, pain points, and technicalconstraints.

•     Translate business/functionalrequirements into practical, AI-driven technical solutions.

•     Partner with internal technicaland AI delivery teams to design, validate, and refine proposed solutions.

•     Present and articulate technicalsolutions back to client stakeholders in clear, business-friendly language.

•     Own stakeholder managementacross client and internal teams, ensuring alignment throughout the solutionlifecycle.

•     Provide hands-on input on AIsolution design, feasibility, and implementation approach.

•     Bridge communication betweentechnical teams and business/banking stakeholders, in both English andJapanese.

•     Support pre-sales/solutioningconversations as needed, bringing technical credibility to client discussions.

•     Proven experience working withinthe Banking / Financial Services / Insurance (BFSI) domain.

•     Strong hands-on technicalbackground (60–70% of the role), with the ability to engage in and drivetechnical solution discussions.

•     Demonstrated experiencedelivering AI-based solutions – this is the single most important skill areafor this role.

•     Prior experience in atechno-functional or solutions consulting capacity, ideally having transitionedfrom a purely technical role into one with client/stakeholder responsibility.

•     Current or recent experience instakeholder management, ideally with banks or financial institutions asclients.

•     Ability to independently manageclient conversations – from requirement gathering through to solutionpresentation.

•     Comfortable workingcross-functionally with internal technical/delivery teams to shape solutions.

•     Excellent communication skills,with fluency in both English and Japanese (spoken and written).

•     Based in Tokyo, Japan, andavailable to engage with local client stakeholders.

•     Experience consulting for orembedded within a bank or large financial institution.

•     Familiarity with enterprise AIsolutioning – use-case identification, feasibility assessment, and solutionarchitecture at a conceptual level.

•     Comfort operating in aconsultative, client-advisory capacity rather than a pure delivery role.

•     Prior exposure toglobal/cross-border delivery teams collaborating across time zones.

•     Location: Tokyo, Japan –candidate must be locally based.

•     Engagement Type: Open to bothFull-Time and Part-Time arrangements.

•     Working Style: Client-facingrole requiring regular interaction with both client stakeholders and internalteams.
