Job Summary:Â
The CDL Driver is responsible for safely operating company vehicles and trailers to transport materials between various locations. This role plays a key part in maintaining an efficient and organized yard, while also supporting vehicle cleanliness, fueling, and inspections. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Â
- Maneuver vehicles and containers around the facility and off-site locationsÂ
- Identify appropriate placement for vehicles and containersÂ
- Assist other CDL drivers as needed to ensure safe and efficient operationsÂ
- Clean and refuel vehicles and trailers as requiredÂ
- Inspect vehicles to identify maintenance needs and report issuesÂ
- Maintain safety, order, and clear communication within the yard and with team membersÂ
Education and Experience:Â
- High school diploma or equivalent requiredÂ
- Current CDL Class A license requiredÂ
- Completion of CDL training programÂ
- 6 months of CDL driving experience preferredÂ
- Strong communication skills preferredÂ
- Valid CDL Class A licenseÂ
- Completion of an accredited CDL training programÂ
- Minimum of 6 months CDL driving experience preferredÂ
- Ability to safely maneuver vehicles and containers in tight spacesÂ
- Must be able to conduct vehicle inspections and identify basic maintenance issuesÂ
- Comfortable working outdoors and in various weather conditionsÂ
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environmentÂ
- Strong attention to safety protocols and yard proceduresÂ
- Good communication and teamwork skillsÂ
- Must demonstrate reliable attendance and punctualityÂ
