Position OverviewÂ
The Security Specialist supports ATFP initiatives and critical facility security programs. Â This position is located in the Northern Virginia / Washington Metro area and involves CONUS travel.Â
Duties
Assist management with the following:
- Provide program management and subject matter expertise related to ATFP and security of critical facilities.
- Perform assessments and surveys, produce reports, analyses, and plans. Â
- Assess the effectiveness of existing plans and develop methodology and practices for effective, rapid implementation of these plans.
- Recommend procedural and technological solutions to improve the ATFP posture within the scope of the mission.
- Research and assess existing and emerging force protection technologies.
- Other duties as assigned.

RequirementsÂ
- Education: Â B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent work experience in a security or military related field. Â
 (7 years’ experience will be equivalent to a B.A. or B.S. degree) - Clearance:  Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS clearance, preferably with Polygraph. Â
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both in the written and spoken word.
- Must be able to produce ATFP-related reports/products using MS Office applications.Â
- Must having documented/verifiable previous work experience with security operations,
- Have expertise in individual and collective training of units responsible for ATFP mission. Â
- Must be medically qualified for travel to semi-permissive and non-permissive areas and be able to successfully qualify to standardized weapons qualification course. Must be able to complete and pass a comprehensive physical examination.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Job requires intermittent exposure to all weather conditions, as well as intermittent sitting, walking, running, climbing, squatting, stretching, bending and kneeling.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and US passport.

This compensation range is specific to Northern Virginia / Washington Metro Area and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Osen-Hunter, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $120,000 to $150,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
