What is a Shipping & Receiving Associate?

A Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for handling the movement of materials in and out of the facility, ensuring accurate receiving, storage, and shipment of goods. This role supports warehouse operations and maintains inventory accuracy.

What You Can Expect to Do as a Shipping & Receiving Associate:

•   Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and shipments
•   Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to requirements
•   Maintain accurate records of shipping and receiving activities
•   Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts
•   Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of materials
•   Assist with inventory counts and accuracy initiatives
•   Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
•   Communicate with team members and supervisors regarding shipment status

What We Are Looking For in a Shipping & Receiving Associate:

•  High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1 to 3 years of experience in warehouse, shipping, or receiving roles preferred
•  Ability to operate forklifts or material handling equipment (certification preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving materials
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse systems preferred
