High Point University’s Admissions department is seeking a Campus Visit Coordinator. This position provides exceptional hospitality and a welcoming environment for all University guests while coordinating a variety of arrangements for campus visits to ensure an extraordinary experience for prospective students and families. Responsibilities include continual improvement of campus visit processes, database management, student employee supervision, event support class visit/faculty meeting scheduling, and group tour reservations and programming all while providing the Best Campus Visit Experience in America. This position is full-time, with some evenings and weekends required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Experience and Training

  • 1-3 years in customer service experience preferred.

  • 1-3 years in higher education preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Ability:

  • Ability and commitment to deliver first-class customer service.

  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communications skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to be flexible and work well in a team environment

  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  

  • Provides extraordinary hospitality to high school students and their families, providing exceptional hospitality and customer service.

  • Be a welcoming and engaging personality for all University Admissions Guests, adding value and excitement to our Campus Visits.

  • Utilizes CRM system to make/cancel/confirm reservations and update contact information.

  • Manages visit calendar, review appointments, and schedule additional campus visit opportunities as needed.

  • Coordinates customized visit days with admissions staff, academic departments, faculty members, and campus partners.

  • Answers questions and provides information via phone and email.

  • Ensures that all Admissions spaces (Slane Welcome Center, Residence Hall Showrooms, Wrenn Hall, etc.) are appropriately maintained and ready for visitors, including inventory, ordering, and restocking of refreshments, business cards and updated literature, and submission of needed maintenance requests in partnership with Office Manager.

  • Coordinates group visits for high school students by working with teachers/counselors throughout the process, including student registration, room reservations, maintenance requests, and follow-up with group leader.

  • Prepares for next day’s visits by updating the guest list, assigning parking, and notifying security personnel and campus partners. 

  • Works with the Associate Director of Campus Visits and Director of Enrollment Guest Experiences to improve visit processes and provide the best possible campus visit experience for guests.

  • Gives Admissions presentations to school groups and large visit groups.

  • Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating effectively with students, families, faculty, co-workers, and managers.

  • Participates in support of various admissions events including Open Houses, Scholarship Weekends, Freshman Orientation and more.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Ensures that admissions guests have an extraordinary campus visit experience

  • Professional and courteous interaction and communication with all guests

  • Maintenance of updated records in database
