Job DetailsLevel: ManagementJob Location: Home Office - CCC - High Point, NC 27260Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: Bachelor'sTravel Percentage: Up to 25%Job Category: ManagementThe Safety Director is responsible for developing, implementing, and leading all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs across Carolina Container’s manufacturing and warehouse operations. This role ensures compliance with applicable regulations while promoting a culture of safety excellence. The Safety Director will also be responsible for establishing policies that will create and maintain a safe workplace. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety. Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law. Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention. Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker’s compensation claims. Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures. Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics. Develop and execute company-wide safety strategies, policies, and programs. Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, NFPA, and applicable regulations. Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations. Lead corrective action efforts and continuous improvement initiatives. Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and supervisors. Coordinate emergency preparedness and response planning. Monitor safety metrics and provide regular reports to leadership. Oversee environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives.  PHYSICAL DEMANDS Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
