Department: Athletics 

Supervisor: Harry Sherwood/Stephen Denny (Position Reports To: Asst Athletic Director for Intercollegiate Club Sports)

Starting Rate of Pay: $8/HR 

Length of Time: Eligible for rehire on a semester basis.

Intercollegiate Club Sports/Athletics 

 

Job Description: 

• The Game Day Support Staff will serve various sports to ensure the game is executed  smoothly. This may include clock operation, video board operation, camera operation, or any various roles needed within the game. You will receive a link to sign up for gameday jobs and get paid by the hour. We need people to serve our teams.

 

Job Location/ Hours Required:  

The candidate will perform most/all job duties in (MILLIS ATHLETIC CENTER AND VARIOUS SPORTS FACILITIES). Hours may vary depending on the job requirements; however, the total number of hours a student employee may work per week is 20 hours. This position requires up to (15HR/Week) hours per week. 

 

Responsibilities: 

Includes any various roles needed within the game 

  • clock operation 

  • video board operation 

  • national anthem and announcements 

  • camera operation 

 

Required Qualifications: 

Education 

• HPU Student 

Experience and Training 

• Love sports 

• Love to serve 

Knowledge, Skills, Ability: 

• Organized, willing to serve, competence in the area of service.

• Must be able to be a team player.

• Ability to demonstrate a commitment to High Point University's Vision, Mission and  Values and the values of the HPU Athletic Department .

 

Desired Skills: 

  • Use a signup app to picktimes of service. 
  • Make sure all time slots are covered. 
  • Show up and represent HPU!
