Overview
This in-office-based role, the Senior Accountant will oversee the financial operations and reporting of the restaurant’s business activities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, financial accuracy, and operational efficiency. This role requires a strong understanding of the hospitality industry, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This role is under the direct supervision of the Controller.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Full Cycle Accounting
- Fixed Asset SchedulesÂ
- Preparation of declining budget
- Approve US Food orders
- Financial analysis and reporting of accounts.
- Full P&L reporting for Company stores.
- Daily Sales Journal Entries
- Bank reconciliations.
- Validate and record EOM inventories.
- Maintain strong communication within Store Management.
- Daily/monthly airport reporting; monthly JV reporting & distributions.
- Record payroll ledgers
- Sales & Use Tax, Mix Bev Gross Receipts and Mix Bev Sales Tax processing.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Audit methods and procedures to improve efficiency
- Always follow-up before status of a task is inquired aboutÂ
- Follow up with supervisor immediately or within the same day with a situation(s) you need guidance on or are unfamiliar with
- Maintain compliance with the above job description for all areas
Required qualifications/skills
- Bachelor’s degree or related work experience
- C.P.A is preferred but not required
- 1 year of ERP experience; NetSuite or similar product
- Muti-entity is a plus
- Strong understanding of principles of finance, bookkeeping and accounting
- High level of proficiency in Excel
- Ability/willingness to work in-office located in Dallas
