Under the direction of Player Development Management, the Casino Host is responsible for providing premium level guests with the best possible experience. The Casino Host builds premium guest loyalty using sales and marketing techniques that foster an exclusive guest relationship and generate gaming revenue as determined by management. This role is highly visible to and interactive with premium guests, and therefore requires a high level of professionalism, and championing of the goals and priorities of the Tribe in a manner that reflects and upholds the Tribal Community’s vision, mission and values.

As a team member of the Player Development Department, the Casino Host is a Yaamava Resort & Casino Ambassador, and takes personal ownership to ensure all of their actions are in the best interest of the enterprise.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESĀ 

Ā 

1. UsesĀ ā€œSegment-of-Oneā€ marketing approach to track activity and preferences of each premium guest, and tailors offers and incentives that appeal directly toĀ interestĀ of individuals.Ā Ā Monitors guest participation and tracks guest feedback toĀ determineĀ effectiveness of events and promotions.Ā Ā Meets or exceeds predetermined goals and measurableĀ objectivesĀ establishedĀ by management for daily calls and written correspondence to active,Ā inactiveĀ and potential new guests.Ā Ā CompliesĀ withĀ and upholds enterprise expectations including policies, procedures, industry regulations, and Department guidelines.

2. AcquiresĀ and delivers new high net guests for premium gaming spaces.

3. Handles all aspects of guest journey (ground transportation, hotel accommodation, dining reservation, entertainment, folio clearance at checkout).

4. Works effectively as a collaborative team member with others within Casino Marketing, Table Games, Slots, and Food & Beverage supervisory team toĀ identifyĀ areas of opportunity and address areas of concern when necessary.

5. Maintains thorough knowledge of latest industry developments, current market trends and all on-property and competitor promotions/events.

6. Attends and hosts player onsite/offsite events in various areas as assigned by management.

7. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.

Ā EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONSĀ 

Ā 

  • Associates Degree in Hospitality, Marketing or related fieldĀ required.Ā 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Marketing or related field highly preferred.Ā 

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a Casino/Gaming, sales or marketing environmentĀ required.Ā 

  • Related,Ā relevant,Ā and/orĀ directĀ experienceĀ mayĀ beĀ consideredĀ inĀ lieuĀ ofĀ minimumĀ educational requirementsĀ indicatedĀ above.Ā Ā 

KNOWLEDGE,Ā SKILLSĀ AND ABILITIES (KSA)Ā 

Ā 

  • MustĀ possessĀ drive to exceed revenue generation targets.Ā 

  • IntermediateĀ proficiencyĀ in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerĀ PointĀ and Access necessary.Ā 

  • May beĀ requiredĀ to communicate verbally and in written form in one of the following languages: Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, or Tagalog.Ā 

  • MustĀ have outstanding communication skills.Ā 

  • Must be consistent with upholding a professional image with a polished appearance and demeanor.Ā

  • At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you mayĀ be requiredĀ to obtain andĀ maintainĀ a gaming license.Ā

  • Mobility sufficient to safely move in an office environment, walk, stoop, bend and kneel, and enter,Ā exitĀ andĀ operateĀ a motor vehicleĀ in the course ofĀ travel to promotional events, meetings, conferences, tradeĀ showsĀ and San Manuel properties.Ā
