Job DetailsJob Location: Hinesville, GA 31313JOB SUMMARY This position is for a Registered Nurse whose responsibility is to provide day-to-day patient care activities to patients receiving therapeutic and diagnostic services in the Emergency Department, in accordance with accreditation standards, federal, state, and local regulations, organizational and departmental policies and procedures and professional standards. Utilizes the nursing process to assess, prioritize, plan, deliver, and evaluate infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient responses to potential life threatening situations or illnesses. Refers unusual clinical and administrative problems to the Director of Emergency Services or the House Supervisor. Responsible for the supervision of professional and skilled personnel during an assigned shift. The position reports to the Director of Emergency Department. QualificationsJOB QUALIFICATIONS Minimum level of Education: Education level equivalent to an associate degree in nursing required. Formal Training: Clinical competence in nursing required. Licensure, Certifications & Registration: Current license to practice professional nursing in the state of Georgia; BLS Provider certification required; ACLS Provider & PALS Provider certification required within 90 days employment. Instructor certifications do not replace provider certification requirements. Work Experience: Minimum of three (3) months medical surgical experience. Advanced technical nursing skills. Intermediate knowledge of the nursing process application. Intermediate cardiac arrhythmia identification skills. Basic knowledge of planning care for the patient with critical and/or complex needs. Basic computer skills. Prior Emergency Department or Critical Care experience preferred.
