Detail-driven, analytical, and ready to strengthen a growing finance team? Prime Group is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Hospitality sector. Job Summary The Hospitality Senior Accountant will possess expertise in financial review and join our finance team supporting Prime Group's Hospitality sector. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records and reports, reporting directly to the Controller and handling essential accounting tasks within the department. What You'll Do Including but not limited to: Review financial statements, general ledgers, and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance Analyze financial data and trends to identify discrepancies, irregularities, and areas for improvement Perform detailed reconciliations of accounts and investigate variances to ensure proper documentation and resolution Supervise and manage the outsourced accounting team, providing guidance, training, and support Lead the team on the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process Collaborate with hospitality operations teams to review financial transactions and provide insights Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts, providing commentary and analysis as needed Assist in gathering documentation for year-end tax filing and regulatory compliance reviews Perform impromptu projects as directed by management What You Bring Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA is a plus Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong focus on financial review and analysis Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards Experience in the hospitality industry preferred Proficiency in accounting software — Yardi, Sage, R365, xtraCHEF — and advanced Excel skills Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with a keen attention to detail Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams Why You'll Love It Here Competitive salary commensurate with experience Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off Collaborative and team-oriented work environment Opportunities for professional development and career advancement within a growing organization About Prime Group Prime Group's vertically integrated approach unifies multiple real estate disciplines under a single roof, sharing a multifaceted vision of improved, sustainable real estate development through diverse strengths, strategic affiliates, and talented in-house professionals.
