Position Overview

Join Kiewit Power Constructors as a Contracts Administrator at our Homer City, PA location. This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity to develop a strong foundation in contract management within the energy construction industry. You will play a pivotal role in supporting contract negotiations, reviews, and administration while collaborating with diverse teams across the organization to ensure seamless project execution. This position demands detail orientation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

District Overview

Kiewit Power Constructors offers integrated engineering, procurement, construction and startup service needs, specializing in gas and coal-fired power generation, coal retrofit and renewable energy. From concept to commercialization, our full suite of EPC and startup services set industry standards for quality design and superior functionality in delivering power projects throughout North America. 

Location

This position is based out of Homer City, PA and MUST be able to sit onsite. 

Responsibilities

  • Support the reviewing and negotiating of design service agreements of partners and subconsultants.
  • Support the reviewing of terms and conditions constituting flow downs from prime contract utilizing Kiewit’s prescribed Contract Review Process.
  • Interface regularly with business line manager, project sponsors, area managers, estimating team, tax, treasury, legal, and risk management.
  • Coordinate all agreements for subconsultants prior to pursuit submission.
  • Working with applicable business lead and legal, modify Kiewit’s standard forms (Professional Services Agreements, Subcontracts, etc.) to ensure consistency with the applicable prime contract and properly capture flow-    down provisions as necessary.
  • Working with applicable business lead and legal, support project lower-tier negotiations with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Support contract and project personnel as needed for contract interpretation and execution as needed.

Qualifications

•Degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain or related experience is desired.
•0-2 years of related experience required.
•Excellent, demonstrated customer service and collaborations mentality; with the ability to connect and build relationships with others inside and outside the organization.
•Ability to work independently and think analytically with minimal oversight.
•Ability to think innovatively to offer practical solutions while achieving targeted risk profile.
•Demonstrated ability to multitask.
•Working knowledge of MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & Teams).
•Other software working knowledge such as SharePoint, SmartSheet and SAP desired but not required.
•Other Requirements:
•Regular, reliable attendance
•Work productively and meet deadlines timely.
•Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.
•Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
