Founded in 1906, Oahu Country Club has proudly served its members for 120 years. As Hawaii’s oldest private member-only golf club, we’re known for our timeless charm, world-class course, and deep-rooted sense of community. Now, we’re looking for an Equipment Operator to help us preserve and enhance our beautiful grounds. Local candidates strongly preferred, candidates must be available for an in-person interview.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Â Â includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Operates a variety of 5-reel, triplex, flail and walk mowing equipment to mow greens, tees, approaches, fairways, and roughs.Â
- Operates tractors, sweepers and blowers to clean parking lot or golf course areas.Â
- Operates utility trucks and dump trucks for hauling debris and materials.Â
- Operates all types of fertilizer spreading equipment.Â
- Operates aerators, core harvesters, topdressers and brushes when aerating greens, tees, and fairways.Â
- Operates forklift for loading and unloading materials and supplies.Â
- Operates sod cutters, rollers, and a variety of other implements.Â
- Performs minor service and repairs on equipment used.Â
- Fills in for Assistant Mechanic and Section Person when necessary.Â
- Assist in sod work on greens, tees, fairways, and other areas.Â
- Assist in construction and renovation projects including irrigation, drainage, and landscaping work.Â
- May help trim and prune trees, shrubs, and groundcovers.Â
- Assist in any storm damage clean up and repairs.Â
Qualifications:
- Knowledge in the operation of mowers, tractors, loaders, aerifiers, trucks, chainsaws, pruning equipment, sad cutters.Â
- Knowledge of the principles of gas and diesel engines.
- Knowledge in the operation of different turf and landscape maintenance procedures.
- Ability to use good judgment and to work in a responsible and safe manner. Ability to communicate and conduct yourself with fellow employees, supervisors and guests in a respectful manner.Â
- Ability to follow oral and written directionsÂ

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Must have a valid driver’s license and able to operate standard shifting equipment
- May be required to lift up to fifty pounds in various forms. Must be able to walk extensively as well as sit or stand for extended periods of time while performing job functions
