Position Summary

Viakorp Corporation is seeking a qualified Protestant Administrative Religious Education Coordinator to support the U.S. Army Garrison-Hawaii Religious Support Office at RSO South. The coordinator will provide administrative, educational, and event-support services for Protestant religious education programs primarily at Aliamanu Military Reservation Chapel.

The schedule will follow the approved religious education calendar and may include weekdays, evenings, weekends, seasonal programs, and special events. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Protestant religious education programs and related administrative activities.
  • Attend weekly, monthly, and as-needed meetings with chapel personnel.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly Protestant religious education calendars.
  • Prepare facility reservation requests for programs and community events.
  • Develop flyers and other publicity materials for regular and seasonal programs.
  • Track program attendance and prepare required monthly reports.
  • Assist with regular and seasonal religious education classes.
  • Organize curriculum, teaching materials, and classroom supplies.
  • Copy and distribute program materials to designated learning spaces.
  • Assist with classroom setup, material distribution, and post-program reset.
  • Monitor and report the use of consumable materials and supplies.
  • Support Vacation Bible School, religious education kickoff, and seasonal activities.
  • Support Protestant community programs and resiliency events.
  • Prepare community-event and deployment-support resources.
  • Assist with child-suitability background-check documentation.
  • Coordinate professionally with chaplains, chapel staff, volunteers, parents, and participants.
  • Maintain respectful conduct when working with individuals from different faith groups and viewpoints.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree in Christian Religious Education or a related ministry field from an accredited institution.
  • Ability to provide an official diploma or official transcript.
  • Recent relevant experience in a military chapel environment as a religious education coordinator, Christian school teacher, youth minister, Bible school teacher, or comparable position.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience preparing calendars, reports, flyers, emails, and administrative materials.
  • Strong organization, scheduling, communication, and recordkeeping abilities.
  • Availability for a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to successfully complete Government-required background and suitability checks involving work with children.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain access to Aliamanu Military Reservation and other USAG-Hawaii facilities.
