What You'll Do
Direct Support Professionals help the people we serve with everyday activities while encouraging independence, choice, and participation in the community.
Typical responsibilities include:
  • Developing respectful and supportive relationships with individuals receiving services
  • Assisting with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal care, hygiene, and household responsibilities
  • Providing support during community activities, appointments, recreation, and other outings
  • Helping individuals work toward personal goals and develop everyday skills
  • Administering medications and maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Helping maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable residential environment
  • Respecting and advocating for each person's choices, dignity, preferences, and well-being

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to successfully complete a national background check
  • Ability to qualify as an approved company driver
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and provide mobility assistance
  • Previous experience in caregiving, healthcare, behavioral health, childcare, or human services is helpful, but not required
