Summary

We are seeking a motivated, mechanically inclined Field Service Technician to support Derrick Corporation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, field travel, and building strong relationships with rig personnel.

 

Key Responsibilities


 Equipment Inspection & Maintenance 

  • Perform monthly inspections of Derrick equipment on assigned rig locations 
  • Identify equipment condition, recommend repairs, and promote appropriate parts and service solutions 
  • Document inspections accurately, including equipment details, recommended spares, and photos 

Field Service & Repairs 

  • Respond to service calls, including nights, weekends and holidays 
  • 50%+ travel is required 
  • Perform equipment repairs, new shaker installations, and screen box delivery 
  • Provide shop support when needed 


Customer & Relationship Management 

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with rig personnel and key contacts in the assigned area 


Inventory & Documentation 

  • Maintain accurate truck and warehouse inventory 
  • Track parts usage and inventory through the handheld system 
  • Upload service and inspection data daily 
  • Coordinate inventory replenishment and training needs through the area manager 


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must pass a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) check
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region
  • Ability to perform physical job duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Commitment to safety, company policies, and maintaining required certifications
