Description

The Junior Compliance Officer (JCO) will support a nationwide investigative services contract in support of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)/Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)/Homeland Security Investigations (HSI)/Worksite Enforcement Unit (WSEU).聽


The JCO shall support the specialized investigative mission of DHS/ICE/HSI and participate as part of a team in the investigative mission of national/international investigative programs, initiatives and liaison activities. The JCO will provide I-9 audit support services and worksite enforcement compliance activities. The JCO assists in reviewing employment eligibility documentation, conducting database research, and preparing audit-ready case files and reports that support administrative enforcement actions and related determinations.


At a minimum, the Junior Compliance Officer shall perform the following tasks:

路 聽Responsible for inputting and evaluating data.

路 聽Utilize DHS databases to run queries, prepare spreadsheets, and conduct research.

路 聽Assist Auditors and Criminal Investigators with evaluation of Employment Eligibility Verification Form I-9.

路 聽Assist with drafting audit reports and associated administrative fine paperwork to support theissuance of Notices of Intent to Fine, Final Orders, Warning Notices and other relateddocumentation for HSI audits related to the employment eligibility verification process.

路 聽Coordinate these functions and procedures with Criminal Investigators and Auditors.

路 聽Perform all administrative functions necessary to ensure compliance with basic property, timeand attendance, facility, and information technology processes in government location



Requirements


  • Bachelor鈥檚 degree (BA/BS) is preferred but the minimum educational requirement is an Associates Level degree.
  • Education is preferred to be in Business, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or a similar field.聽
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.聽
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.聽
  • 聽Demonstrated experience with Microsoft office applications
  • Preferred: Prior experience in auditing, investigations support, or law enforcement administrative support. Familiarity with employment eligibility verification processes.
