NICU Clinical Pharmacist Specialist
The ideal candidate will have advanced pediatric or critical care pharmacy training, strong NICU experience, and the ability to provide direct clinical pharmacy services to critically ill neonates in a high-acuity environment.
Responsibilities:Â
- Provide direct clinical pharmacy services to critically ill neonatal patients.
- Participate in multidisciplinary NICU rounds and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Review medication therapy for appropriateness, dosing, safety, interactions, and therapeutic effectiveness.
- Provide pharmacokinetic monitoring and medication recommendations for neonatal patients.
- Support antimicrobial stewardship and medication-safety initiatives.
Qualifications:Â
- Completion of a PGY2 Residency in Pediatrics – required/preferred pathway
- Candidates with a PGY2 Residency in Critical Care may be considered if they have current NICU experience
- NICU clinical pharmacy experience – required
- Experience providing direct clinical pharmacy services to critically ill neonates – required
- Current Texas Pharmacist license – required
- Strong knowledge of neonatal pharmacotherapy, dosing, medication safety, and critical-care pharmacy practice.
Compensation:Â $62.00-$75.00/HR
