The Night Crew Supervisor is responsible for supporting overnight store operations by leading the night crew team, ensuring shelves are stocked, merchandise is properly displayed, and store standards are maintained for the next business day. This position assists with workload execution, associate development, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency while promoting a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities Night Operations- Supervise and coordinate nightly stocking and merchandising activities.
- Ensure products are stocked, faced, and replenished according to company standards.
- Monitor overnight workflow to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Assist with unloading, sorting, and staging merchandise deliveries.
- Ensure aisles, backrooms, and sales floor areas are organized and ready for store opening.
- Provide direction, training, and support to night crew associates.
- Assign workloads and monitor completion of nightly tasks.
- Coach associates on productivity, safety, stocking standards, and company procedures.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.
- Lead overnight operations in the absence of the Night Crew Manager.
- Ensure accurate stocking and product placement throughout the store.
- Support inventory control procedures and reduce out-of-stock conditions.
- Monitor product rotation and proper handling practices.
- Assist with execution of planograms, seasonal displays, and merchandising initiatives.
- Help maintain inventory accuracy through proper stocking and backstock management.
- Maintain store presentation standards throughout all assigned areas.
- Verify completion of nightly priorities and operational tasks.
- Identify and communicate operational issues that impact store performance.
- Support labor productivity goals while maintaining quality standards.
- Assist with implementation of company programs and operational initiatives.
- Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with company safety standards.
- Monitor the proper use of equipment, pallet jacks, ladders, and stocking tools.
- Maintain clean and hazard-free work areas.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Report and address safety concerns and maintenance issues promptly.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous retail, grocery, stocking, or warehouse experience.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work overnight shifts and flexible schedules.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
- Experience with inventory management and merchandising.
- Knowledge of grocery store stocking procedures and operations.
- Experience leading teams in a retail environment.
