What You will Do:
- Develop the detailed mechanical design of rotating equipment packages, taking inputs from core machinery and systems design.
- Design structural steel baseplates and release drawings and bills of materials for fabrication and machining.
- Conduct calculations for static and dynamic loading at foundation interface.
- Develop overall general arrangement drawings for entire rotating equipment trains and supporting auxiliaries.
- Create detailed piping models, pipe spool fabrication drawings, and design associated piping supports.
- Conduct detailed design of coupling guards along with fabrication and machining drawings.
- Manage the 3D models of rotating equipment trains to ensure the package may be assembled and maintained in an efficient and save manner without equipment clashes.
- Assemble overall utility consumption and customer connection lists.
- Specify and/or design overall package lifting tools, such as spreader bars and associated shackles and prepare lifting arrangements.
- Author purchase specifications for equipment such as baseplates, anti-vibration mounts, and 3rd party packaging.
- Conduct design reviews on PK scope and attend project design reviews.
- Lead 3D model reviews internally and externally.
- Support the Project Lead Engineer (PLE) with internal and external clients.
- Support internal and external production activities, including disposition of non-conformances and evaluation of material deviation requests.
- Provide support to bid management (BM) and front end engineering (FEE) to review and provide comments and exceptions to client specifications and to identify deviations from standards and to estimate commercial impacts if compliance is required.
What You Will Bring:
- 2 to 5 years with a focus on detail design and require an Associate level degree
- Turbo Compressor Design
- Control Systems Design
- Software Command:Â Â Teamcenter, COMOS, JIRA
- Industry Standards Command:Â API 614, API 617.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
- Experience with SAP, or other MRP system, strongly preferred    Â
Pay Range: $62K to $76K
Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.
Work Requirements:
This role is considered an on-site position located in Houston, TX
·      You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.Â
Travel Requirements:
Due to the nature of the work, 10% of travel is required.
