We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our quality team. This position is responsible for performing inspections and testing on incoming materials, in-process components, purchased parts, sub-assemblies, outside vendor operations, and completed assemblies to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, customer requirements, and company quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of inspection techniques, blueprint reading, traceability requirements, and quality documentation while maintaining a commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Perform dimensional and visual inspections of production parts, sub-assemblies, purchased components, outside operations, and completed assemblies
 • Conduct hardness testing as required
 • Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
 • Verify the accuracy of heat codes and Mill Test Reports (MTRs)
 • Ensure material and product traceability prior to product release
 • Assign heat codes to purchased raw materials and update records in Syteline
 • Assign heat codes on all job routers
 • Apply API monograms to products where applicable
 • Support calibration activities as required
 • Verify traceability of semi-finished parts received from WOM India
 • Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and support corrective actions based on engineering disposition
 • Maintain professional working relationships with machinists, assemblers, test technicians, supervisors, and managers
 • Assist in training and supporting other Quality Control Inspectors as requested
 • Understand and comply with the company Quality Policy and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements
 • Comply with all environmental, health, and safety regulations
 • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
 • Minimum of 6 months of related inspection experience
 • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, symbols, and tolerances
 • Familiarity with precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, and comparators
 • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications
 • Strong written and verbal communication skills
 • Familiarity with GD&T preferred but not required
 • Ability to verify and maintain product traceability documentation
 • Visual acuity testing meeting applicable ASNT SNT-TC-1A requirements
 • Color contrast testing required
 • Ability to lift, adjust, or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
 • Ability to frequently push, pull, and handle materials
 • Ability to remain standing or seated for extended periods of time
 • Ability to operate machinery, power tools, and forklift equipment when required
 • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to quality standards
 • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
