Job DetailsJob Location: Houston, TX 77024Position Type: Part TimeJob Category: Front DeskJOB SUMMARY  To provide customer service to the members and their guest at the entrances and exits of the club in a friendly and respectful manner. The MSA’s will inform the members about basic knowledge of the club that they will attain through training and continuing education. MSA’s will also assist guest by escorting members to certain areas of the club as desired. This role is critical to maintaining the luxury standard and reputation of The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa while upholding the highest levels of discretion and professionalism. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Maintain daily, weekly, and yearly inventory Keep Front Desk appropriately stocked at all times Keeping track of operating tools and supplies  Meet and greet members and their guest as they enter the club Answer phones with an upbeat tone using our standard greeting within 3 ring  Provide the member what they want, in an acceptable amount of time while personalizing the service, and going above and beyond to exceed the members expectations Basic computer knowledge to look up members information and ringing up guest fees and services Assisting members in choosing and deciding on classes and informing them when the classes are held Other duties or tasks as assigned by your supervisor that are related to the Member Services Department and the Houstonian Campus Other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS High school diploma or equivalent office/clerical support experience.   Previous customer service experience is strongly preferred. Must have excellent verbal and written skills and exceptional customer service skills.  Must be able to multi-task and have excellent organizational skills.   Must be able to think quickly on feet to handle very sensitive situations concerning members or guests.   Must observe and act according to culture of company, integrity, honesty, treat others with dignity and respect, friendly, etc.   Energetic, enthusiastic, observant, attentive and motivated Professional Appearance Must be able to stand for long periods of time Proactive and self motivated, seeking out things to do during the down times Excellent verbal and written communication Positive Attitude Exceptional customer service skills PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS Must be able to meet the following minimum physical requirements for at least an eight-hour shift: Physical Stamina: Sit for extended periods of time, see and read a computer screen and printed matter with or without vision aids, enter data into computer, operate standard office equipment, use a telephone, hear and understand at normal levels and on the telephone, speak so that others may understand at normal levels and on the telephone, stoop, reach overhead, grasp, push, pull, move or lift up to 30 lbs. on an occasional basis. Hearing / Speech: Must be able to effectively engage in one-on-one communication with guests, members, and customers and use a 2-way radio to communicate clearly and accurately with co-workers. Vision: Must be able to accurately read instructions, reports, and log sheets. Must be able to work with computers and PDAs in varying light conditions. Literacy: Must be able to produce, read and understand reports, including security, incident and police reports. Must be able to analyze and process written information from a variety of sources and effectively communicate content of reports. Chemicals/Agents: Must be able to work safely with chemicals according to SDS sheets and all applicable laws, codes and regulatory requirements.
