MS Ultrasonic Technology is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Service Technician to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of advanced ultrasonic welding and punching equipment. What You'll Do

As a Service Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional technical support and service. Responsibilities include:

Field Service & Customer Support

  • Travel to customer facilities to perform equipment installations, startups, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment issues.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, distributors, and sales representatives.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service while serving as a trusted technical resource.

Machine Assembly & Manufacturing

  • Perform mechanical and electrical assembly of ultrasonic welding and punching systems.
  • Assemble, align, fit, and test machine components and assemblies.
  • Build and wire electrical control panels.
  • Complete electrical wiring according to schematics and engineering drawings.
  • Install and connect Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and other control systems.
  • Perform pneumatic plumbing and machine adjustments.
  • Conduct welding feasibility studies and testing.

Troubleshooting & Quality Assurance

  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Repair, calibrate, and rework assemblies to meet operational specifications.
  • Inspect equipment and components for quality and conformance.
  • Verify dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring instruments.
  • Document test results, repairs, and service activities.

Administrative Support

  • Assist with processing orders, inventory tracking, invoices, and service-related documentation.
  • Monitor service projects to ensure customer expectations and deadlines are met.

 

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Mechatronics Technician Journeyman Card or comparable technical certification.
  • 2-5 years of machine building experience in automotive or similar industrial environments.
  • 2-5 years of experience wiring, installing, and troubleshooting industrial machinery.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
  • Experience safely operating machining equipment such as mills, lathes, saws, and welders.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in demanding environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional technical certifications in automation, controls, electrical systems, or related fields.
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley and Siemens controls.
  • Field service experience supporting industrial manufacturing equipment.

 

Travel Opportunities

This role includes approximately 75% travel (25% local, 50% overnight), offering the opportunity to work with customers throughout North America and internationally, including:

  • Canada
  • Mexico
  • Germany (occasionally)
