DEPARTMENT: Operations

REPORTS TO: Club Director

SALARY/FLSA STATUS: Exempt, Full-Time

POSITION SUMMARY:


With the supervision of the Club Director, the Program & Outcomes Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the planning and delivery of a broad range of Club programs that focus on belonging and opportunity through academic success, health & well-being, life skill & leadership, and workforce readiness. 


COMPETENCIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Leadership 

  • Model the mission, vision, ICARE values, objectives, policies, programs, and procedures of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tampa Bay; and the principles and practices of non-profit organizations.
  • Plan and supervise age-appropriate Club programs and activities that support youth development outcomes and align with organizational goals.
  • Participates in ongoing training and professional development activities to strengthen job-related knowledge, skills, and competencies. 


Staff Development and Supervision 

  • Ensures that Club staff understand and effectively communicate standards of programming.
  • Assist Club Director to supervise, coach, and train Club staff.


Program Planning and Management 

  • Creates and executes program schedule that aligns with BGCGTB standards. Ensures the programs are age-appropriate, engaging, and encourages and promotes youth voice and leadership. 
  • Oversee proper record keeping and reporting including activities and events conducted and breakdowns of daily participation numbers, notable achievements, and any problems/issues.
  • Assist Club Director with oversight of the daily food program to include but not limited to receiving, temperature documentation, meal distribution, and clean-up.
  • May oversee special programs and/or events and/or participate in the implementation of other Club activities as necessary.
  • Data entry and updates to information contained within the membership tracking system, My ClubHub and member file management which includes gathering necessary documents and authorization forms.

 

Safe and Positive Environment 

  • Ensures a clean, healthy, safe, and positive environment where youth feel safe and accepted.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Responds to incidents promptly and appropriately and models and reinforces positive behavior management practices.

 

Community Collaboration 

  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with Club families, schools, volunteers, and community partners. 
  • Represents the Club within the community with professionalism and pride.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required. Four-year degree in related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • A minimum of three years’ work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization is preferred.
  • Successfully complete organization sponsored CPR training within 90 days of hire.
  • Must have intermediate computer knowledge and skills. Experience with Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook preferred
  • Must obtain Staff Credential per Childcare Licensing Board standards within one year of employment.
  • Must complete required DCF trainings in allotted time.
  • Additional training may be required for continuing education and professional development.


TRAVEL:


Travel may be required to multiple Club facilities throughout Hillsborough, Pasco, Hernando and Pinellas Counties for training and professional development or other business purposes.
