  • St. Mary's Medical Center is hiring a Full Time Special Procedures (Radiology) Tech to provide quality patient care and radiographic procedures for vascular or interventional Radiology exams.
  • Candidates should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree and must be a graduate of an approved JRCERT program for Radiologic Technology.
  • A valid registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required, along with a West Virginia State license, and advanced certification in Cardiovascular and/or Interventional Radiology is desired.
  • Previous experience as a Staff Radiologic Technologist and as an Interventional/Cardiovascular Technologist is preferred, along with skills in using various diagnostic imaging equipment.
  • The position requires compassionate communication skills to establish rapport with patients, and a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.

St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a Full Time Special Procedures (Radiology) Tech.Ā  The Special Procedures Tech's primary purpose is to provide quality patient care and quality radiographic procedures for patients needing vascular or interventional Radiology exams.Ā  In addition be available for emergency call procedures.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

Bachelor degree preferred. Graduate of an approved JRCERT program for Radiologic Technology. Holder of a valid and current:

  1. Registration by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or be registry eligible, and;
  2. Licensed as required by the West Virginia State ā€œBoardā€ of Radiology
  3. Advanced level of certification in Cardiovascular and/or Interventional Radiology desired.

EXPERIENCE:

Previous work experience as Staff Radiologic Technologist and work experience as an Interventional/Cardiovascular Technologist desired.

SKILLS:

Uses a variety of stationary and mobile diagnostic radiation producing and imaging equipmentĀ and accessories, radiation protection and shielding materials and devices.Ā  Uses automatic filmĀ processing units.Ā  Ability to establish contact with patients who may be under physical and emotional stress.Ā  Compassionate, good listener, professional, able to follow instructions.Ā  BLSĀ required.
