Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair our facility's electrical systems and manufacturing equipment. You will ensure electrical safety, perform routine preventative maintenance, and quickly diagnose electrical issues to keep industrial equipment running efficiently. The Industrial Electrician will have crucial responsibilities related to the implementation of system upgrades and reliability projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose, repair, and maintain industrial machinery, high-voltage equipment, motors, transformers, switchgear, and power distribution systems.
  • PLC & Automation Control: Read, troubleshoot, and program Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and automated control systems.
  • Installation & Upgrades: Run conduit, pull wiring, and install electrical components according to local and national electrical codes (NEC).
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform regular inspections, thermal imaging, and routine maintenance to prevent equipment failure and ensure compliance.
  • Schematics & Diagrams: Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, single-line diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA standards, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols, Arc Flash protection (NFPA 70E), and plant safety regulations.


Preferred Education and Experience

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED; completion of an Electrician Apprenticeship or Journeyman Electrical License preferred.
  • Experience: 3–5+ years of experience as an electrician in an industrial or manufacturing setting.

 

Technical Competencies

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC), AC/DC motors, 3-phase 480V power systems, PLCs (Allen-Bradley), and control circuits.
  • Experience utilizing CMMS software for work order management and asset tracking.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand, walk, kneel, or crawl as required
  • Work in confined spaces or at elevated heights, and stand for extended periods

Leadership & Soft Skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Rockwell software
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make critical decisions under pressure during equipment emergencies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively direct a team and collaborate with management.


The hourly range is $36.00-$40.00 per hour for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, actual compensation may vary and will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to, the applicant’s skills, qualifications, experience, and other job-related factors. An employee may also be eligible for annual discretionary incentive compensation based on company and personal performance.
