Nurse Tech - PRN

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform acts that are within the scope of practice as defined by the applicable skills checklist.
  • Demonstrate the emerging knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients as described in unit/ department-based competencies, policies, and procedures.
  • Initiate learning activities to increase understanding and skills through both formal and informal activities.
  • Act in accordance with the established mission, vision, and values.
  • Abide by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI).
  • Maintain effective communication and professional working relationships with patients/clients and their representatives, team members, contractors, physicians, peers, outside agencies, and the public.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:

  • Currently enrolled in an ACEN or CCNE accredited Registered Nurse program with successful completion of at least one full year of clinical nursing.

Required License/Certifications/Registrations:

  • Current BLS/CPR card from approved provider within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation, whichever comes first.
