Position Overview
St. Barnabas Catholic School is seeking a passionate and dedicated 7th/8th grade teacher to join our school community. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing, engaging classroom environment that supports academic excellence, faith formation, and the development of the whole child.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality instruction aligned to curriculum standards
  • Foster a positive, structured classroom environment rooted in respect and high expectations
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students
  • Use data to inform instruction and support student growth
  • Integrate Catholic values and faith into daily instruction and classroom culture
  • Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and classroom updates
  • Collaborate with colleagues through PLCs and team planning
  • Participate in school events, faith formation activities, and professional development


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
  • Valid Indiana teaching license (or ability to obtain)
  • Commitment to Catholic education and values
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff
