Description

Territory: Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania & Virginia

PRIMEdge, Inc. | Cutting Edges & Sharpening Solutions | Field-Based Sales

PRIMEdge is looking for a driven, relationship-focused Regional Sales Manager to grow our business across the East Central United States.

This is an opportunity to join a well-established, family-owned global company with a strong reputation in the food processing industry. For more than 100 years, PRIMEdge has specialized in industrial cutting solutions that help food processors improve performance, consistency, yield, and operating costs.

We aren't looking for someone who simply wants to maintain a territory. We're looking for someone who enjoys getting into plants, understanding how customers operate, solving problems, developing relationships, and creating new business.

The Opportunity

As Great Lakes Regional Sales Manager, you will take ownership of PRIMEdge's business across Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.

You'll work directly with food processors throughout the territory, developing existing accounts while actively identifying and winning new opportunities.

Our sales approach is highly consultative. You'll spend time on production floors, work alongside plant personnel, learn customers' applications and challenges, and help identify solutions that improve cutting performance and reduce overall operating costs.

You'll also have the support of an experienced team of blade specialists, engineers, customer service professionals, and manufacturing operations in the U.S. and Europe.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and grow sales throughout the assigned territory
  • Build long-term relationships with food processors and key decision-makers
  • Identify and pursue new customers, applications, and opportunities
  • Visit customer plants and develop a strong understanding of their cutting processes
  • Recommend blade, sharpening, and cutting solutions based on customer needs
  • Coordinate product trials and help evaluate performance and results
  • Work closely with PRIMEdge's technical, engineering, customer service, and manufacturing teams
  • Develop relationships at multiple levels within key accounts, from the production floor to plant and corporate management
  • Maintain an active pipeline and effectively manage opportunities throughout the sales process
  • Represent PRIMEdge at industry trade shows, customer events, and other industry activities
  • Become a trusted resource for customers. NOT simply another vendor.

Requirements

 The ideal candidate is:

  • Competitive, self-motivated, and comfortable taking ownership of a territory
  • Naturally curious and interested in learning how equipment and manufacturing processes work
  • Comfortable spending significant time inside food processing plants
  • Strong at developing genuine, long-term customer relationships
  • Able to communicate effectively with everyone from operators and maintenance personnel to engineers, plant managers, and corporate executives
  • Organized and capable of independently managing a large geographic territory
  • Willing to travel regularly throughout the region

Experience selling into food processing, meat and poultry processing, industrial equipment, cutting tools, packaging, MRO, or another technical manufacturing environment is highly desirable.

Technical knowledge of industrial blades is not required. We can teach the products and applications. We're more interested in finding someone with the right attitude, work ethic, curiosity, and ability to build relationships and develop business.
