About the Role:

The Receiving & Operations Assistant plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods into and within the organization. This position is responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and documenting incoming shipments to maintain inventory integrity and support operational needs. The role requires close collaboration with warehouse, logistics, and procurement teams to coordinate timely processing and storage of materials. By maintaining organized records and promptly addressing discrepancies, the assistant helps prevent supply chain disruptions and supports overall business continuity. Ultimately, this position contributes to operational excellence by facilitating accurate inventory management and supporting daily warehouse functions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic experience in warehouse operations or inventory management.
  • Familiarity with receiving procedures and documentation.
  • Ability to operate standard warehouse equipment safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software.
  • Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment.
  • Previous experience in a logistics or supply chain environment.
  • Basic computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and damage.
  • Verify shipment contents against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
  • Accurately record and update inventory data in the warehouse management system.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage and handling of received goods.
  • Report and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to shipments with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized receiving area.
  • Support daily operational tasks such as order picking, packing, and shipping as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with logistics, procurement, and operations teams to facilitate smooth workflow.
