Position Summary:   

As the 2nd Shift Swing Event Setup Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing event operations, managing event staff, and ensuring the seamless execution of events. Your responsibilities will include maintaining client satisfaction and a high level of quality during evening and night hours (swing shift). This position involves hands-on supervisory work.

Key Responsibilities: 

Supervisory: 

- Supervise and coordinate event staff to ensure all duties are completed efficiently and on schedule.   

- Communicate daily updates and any operational issues to the management team regularly.  

- Monitor and evaluate team performance to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.  

- Assist in training new employees and cross-training staff to enhance their skills and productivity.   

- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the team, maintaining a productive work environment.   

- Provide guidance, support, and constructive feedback to team members.  

- Learn to operate event management software systems for billing and other leadership functions.  

- Conduct regular physical inventory counts to assess equipment functionality, identify potential losses, and determine replacement costs.  

Shift Specific: 

- Ensure that all rooms, halls, and ballrooms are set up correctly and signed off using the work order system.  

- Supervise full-time and part-time setup crews to ensure efficiency and productivity.  

- Manage operations during evening and night shifts, which may require adjustment to non-traditional work hours.  

- Ensure effective communication and smooth transitions between shifts.  

- Monitor and address challenges associated with the swing shift, such as fatigue and burnout.  

 

Required Skills and Qualifications: 

Proven Experience: 

- Experience in a supervisory role within a fast-paced warehouse, production, or event management environment is required. 

- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential for this role. Your ability to effectively lead, communicate, and engage with others will be key to your success.
