General Position Summary

The production plater operates production equipment within Sumco Group to efficiently produce material to customer specifications. Must be able to understand written and verbal instructions and follow basic check sheets.

Essential Functions


1. Load material on pay-off equipment.

2. Attach material leader to previous coil.

3. Guide material to take-up coil.

4. Attach material to take-up coil.

5. Check and replace anodes as needed.

6. Change contacts as needed.

7. Maintain chemical levels on production lines.

8. Clean chemical plating tanks.

9. Remove material from take-up machine.

10. Ability to operate all coil winding and handling equipment.

11. Prepare coils for shipment.

12. Maintain material traceability through the plating process.

13. Maintain control process documents, accurately complete charting.

14. Maintain cleanliness of area.

15. Extensive standing/walking

16. Repetitive bending/stooping.

17. Lift up to 55 pounds and manipulate up to 500 pounds (35 gal. barrels).

18. Able to work safely with machinery and a variety of hazardous chemicals.

19. Perform work outside of normal shift hours as needed.

20. Maintain regular and satisfactory attendance.


Other Functions

1. Perform other work as required, Operate Forklift.


Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent and negative drug screen
