About the Role:
Desert Elite Electric & Construction, Inc is looking for a hardworking and dependable Underground Laborer to join our growing team in Indio, CA. This is a hands-on opportunity to be part of exciting construction projects in the desert, where your work makes a real impact every day. Responsibilities:
- Assist with underground utility installation, including conduit, cable, and electrical infrastructure
- Perform excavation, trenching, and backfilling operations using hand and power tools
- Support crew members during underground electrical and construction projects
- Follow all jobsite safety protocols, OSHA standards, and company procedures
- Operate and maintain hand tools, shovels, compactors, and other labor equipment
- Assist with site preparation, cleanup, and material handling throughout the project lifecycle
- Communicate effectively with foremen and crew leads to ensure efficient workflow
Requirements:
- Prior experience in underground construction, utility work, or general labor preferred
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, digging, and standing for extended periods
- Familiarity with trenching, shoring, and underground utility safety practices is a plus
- OSHA 10 certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Reliable transportation and ability to report to jobsites in the Indio, CA area
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a team-first attitude
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme desert heat conditions
