About the Role
Quest International is hiring a hands-on Field Service Technician to support customers throughout Southern California.
This is a travel technician position. You will travel to customer locations to install, maintain, troubleshoot, test, and repair medical, industrial, OEM, and electro-mechanical equipment.
The position requires flexibility for overnight travel, early departures, late returns, changing customer schedules, and overtime when required.
What You’ll Do
Travel to customer locations, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnose equipment failures, replace failed parts and assemblies, verify proper operation after repairs, and complete accurate service documentation.
What We’re Looking For
- At least 1 year of professional hands-on field service, equipment repair, electronics, maintenance, automotive diagnostics, or electro-mechanical experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical, electronic, mechanical, and electro-mechanical equipment and replace failed parts, modules, boards, wiring, connectors, sensors, or assemblies.
- Professional experience using a digital multimeter or other diagnostic/test equipment and following technical manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and service procedures.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel up to 80%, including overnight assignments throughout Southern California and other locations when required.
- Ability to work independently at customer locations, communicate professionally, complete service documentation, and successfully complete the required Human Performance Test.
Preferred Experience
Experience servicing medical, industrial, laboratory, optical, OEM, electronics, automotive, aviation, robotics, mechatronics, or similar technical equipment is a plus.
Basic Windows troubleshooting, Command Prompt, PowerShell, and technical computer skills are also helpful.
This is a hands-on travel field-service position. It is not a remote, work-from-home, IT help-desk, or software-support position.
