SUMMARY: Look to grow your budding interest in banknotes into a Numismatic Assistant position with the preeminent Currency auction house in the industry. Applicants should have a basic knowledge and passion for numismatics and history. This is the ideal position to grow and learn the industry. Tasks include assisting Consignment Directors and Operations staff with research, writing projects, project management, and client communications.


LOCATION: South of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, NW corner of W. Airport Freeway (Hwy. 183) and Valley View Lane

COMPENSATION: Commensurate based on experience


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide active customer support.
  • Assist in all stages of catalog production, including writing, editing, proofing, etc.
  • Communicates with clients in all aspects of the consignment.
  • Assists with Consignment Directors and Operations Assistant responsibilities.
  • Researches the status of consignments.
  • Performs department-wide inventories of consignment material.
  • Work on longer-term projects to improve department efficiencies.
  • Interest in world history and/or numismatics is a plus.
  • Self-motivation, intelligence, and strong work ethic
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Ability to follow set standards and take direction.
  • Ability to analyze and propose solutions to problems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-project, and dynamic environment.
  • Absolute drive to complete projects on time and in a detailed manner
  • Excellent organizational skills: accurate and thorough
  • Excellent communication skills: listening, writing, and verbal.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

 WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Individuals must be able to work in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.
  • Must withstand long periods of sitting, looking at a computer monitor, and phone handling for approximately 3-8 hours daily.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
