Cornell University's Office of the University Registrar is seeking a collaborative and detail-orientedĀ Scheduling Systems Analyst and Academic Classroom CoordinatorĀ to join our Curriculum and Scheduling team.Ā
This position playsĀ an important roleĀ in supporting university-wide classroom scheduling, exam scheduling, space management, and data reporting. Working at the intersection of academic operations and analytics, you willĀ leverageĀ data toĀ optimizeĀ classroomĀ utilization, support institutional planning, improve business processes, and enhance the experience of students, faculty, and staff.Ā
We're looking for someone who enjoys working with complex data structures, translating information into actionable insights, and finding innovative solutions to operational challenges. The successful candidate will combine strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a collaborative and service-oriented environment.Ā

Responsibilities:Ā
Manage classroom assignments using scheduling optimization tools and manual placement processes for Ithaca and Cornell Tech campusesĀ
Coordinate prelim and final exam scheduling, including common exams, and support departments, faculty, and students with resolving scheduling conflicts.Ā
Develop and deliver operational reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that support departmental, college, and institutional decision-making.Ā
Serve as a resource to a variety of stakeholders and projectsĀ with regard toĀ academic scheduling data structures, systems, integrations, and relationships.Ā
Contribute to the development of a growing scheduling data mart in partnership with Cornell Information Technologies.Ā
Analyze scheduling and spaceĀ utilizationĀ data toĀ identifyĀ trends, opportunities, and process improvements.Ā
Coordinate with academic departments and faculty to resolve scheduling conflicts and special requestsĀ and ensure compliance with university policies.Ā
Collaborate with facilities staff, building coordinators, technology partners, and academic departments to ensure space informationĀ remainsĀ accurateĀ and currentĀ
Provide backup support for designated 25Live administration functionsĀ
AssistĀ faculty, staff, and students with scheduling-related questions, requests, and challenges.Ā

The Cornell University Office of the University Registrar implements andĀ monitorsĀ many academic and administrative policies in coordination with academic units, departments, colleges, and schools toĀ facilitateĀ faculty teaching and student learning. The Office of the University Registrar acts as the steward of academic and student information.Ā Ā The Office of the University Registrar champions the continuous renewal of student record systems, adapts operations to changing academic needs as well as federal, state, and institution policies, and evaluates administrative processes for streamlining and service improvements.Ā Ā Ā

What We NeedĀ
Bachelorās degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, in a higher education student service office (such as a college registrar office).Ā Ā
Extensive experience working with Series25 or similar room scheduling software, includingĀ expertiseĀ in using, administering, and supporting integrations related to the system.Ā Ā
Experience working with Course/Class and Facilities data in Peoplesoft, Workday, or similar student information systemsĀ
Demonstrated experience with data structures andĀ proficiencyĀ in reporting and analyzing data; ability to createĀ accurateĀ andĀ timelyĀ reports and data visualizations.Ā Ā
Experience gathering and analyzing requirements for reports and system configuration; ability to provide guidance and recommendations,Ā anticipateĀ impacts, and develop testing and data validation use cases.Ā Ā
Demonstrated ability to communicate with technical and non-technical users, and to liaison effectively with multiple and diverse stakeholders.Ā Ā
Familiarity with standard office software packages and reporting tools.Ā Ā
Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.Ā
Understanding of FERPA and other policies related to data privacy, and ability to interpret and apply policies to daily work: managing confidential information with discretion,Ā integrityĀ and professionalism.Ā
Outstanding customer service and attention to detailĀ

Vendor relations experience.Ā Ā
