About the Role:
A Place At Home Towson is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Aide to join our growing team in Laurel, MD. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of seniors and individuals who need support to live comfortably and independently at home. Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene support
- Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation to ensure safety
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning, and tidying living spaces
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients and their families
- Monitor and report changes in client health or behavior to supervisors
- Assist with medication reminders and follow individualized care plans
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a Home Care Aide, CNA, HHA, or caregiver preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation a plus
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient demeanor
- Ability to follow care plans and work independently in a home setting
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Must be dependable, punctual, and committed to client well-being
