The RoleĀ
As a Patient Access Specialist, you will be at the center ofĀ the patientĀ experience, serving as a trusted resource for registration, insurance verification, and patient access services across several outpatient areas. This is a fast-paced, patient-facing role that requiresĀ strong communicationĀ skills, flexibility, and a commitment to accuracy.Ā
An average day may include:Ā
Welcoming patients and completing registration and check-in processes.Ā
VerifyingĀ demographic information, insurance coverage, and required documentation.Ā
Collecting patient signatures and ensuring registration records are complete and accurate.Ā
AssistingĀ patients with financialĀ assistanceĀ resources and helping eligible individuals navigate application processes.Ā
Supporting scheduled appointments as well as walk-in services including laboratory visits, imaging, EKGs, and other outpatient services.Ā
Responding to departmental communications, workflow updates, and system changes.Ā
Collaborating with teammates and clinical departments to ensure patients move efficiently through the care process.Ā
Floating between multiple outpatient registration areas including MRI, Surgical Services, Main Radiology, Health Center, and other registration locations as operational needs evolve.Ā

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent. Customer service experience preferred.
Experience: Preferred not required.
Licensure: None required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires sitting for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping, reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive) and repetitive motion: computer keyboard. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs.
The pay range for this role is $17.50 - $27.85 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.Benefits
