AirPro Diagnostics — Auggie Air Production Line

About the Role

AirPro Diagnostics is looking for a Manufacturing Assembly Technician to join the production team for our Auggie Air line — an ADAS (automotive camera calibration) tablet-style device. This role performs hands-on bench assembly and electrical harness build work, following documented procedures and quality standards to produce reliable, calibration-ready units.

Responsibilities

  • Perform bench assembly of Auggie Air units following documented work instructions and build sequences
  • Build and terminate electrical harnesses (e.g., power switch, ambient light sensor, gyro, LED light, and speaker harnesses)
  • Follow established quality guidelines for soldering, wiring, and assembly work so every unit is built consistently and free of defects (IPC-A-610 and IPC J-STD-001 standards)
  • Observe ANSI/ESD S20.20 electrostatic discharge control procedures when handling sensitive components
  • Inspect completed sub-assemblies and finished units for defects, verifying against acceptance criteria before hand-off to QC
  • Accurately record production data (cycle times, units completed, defects/rework) to support line tracking
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation consistent with 5S practices
  • Communicate bottlenecks, material shortages, or quality issues to the line lead or manufacturing supervisor promptly
  • Support cross-training and flex to other stations as production needs require

Requirements

  • Prior experience in electronics/electromechanical assembly, or a strong aptitude and willingness to train
  • Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions, wiring diagrams, and build documentation
  • Comfortable using hand tools, soldering equipment, and basic test/inspection equipment
  • Good manual dexterity and attention to detail, especially for small-component and harness work
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive assembly tasks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on soldering experience is preferred
  • IPC-A-610 and/or IPC J-STD-001 certification (or willingness to obtain certification on the job)
  • Experience with ESD-controlled environments (ANSI/ESD S20.20)
  • Prior experience in a regulated or quality-driven manufacturing environment (medical device, automotive, aerospace, or similar)
  • Experience with inventory or MES/production tracking software

What We Offer

  • Hands-on role on a growing product line with room to develop assembly and technical skills
  • Structured training on AirPro's assembly standards and processes

  • Dental
  • Vision
  • Life Insurance
  • Supplemental insurance plans
  • PTO
